We first met Rick Beerhorst as a young artist in Grand Rapids, Michigan, many years ago. He grabbed our attention with the work he was doing using street people as models and painting them into modern-day biblical murals covering the sides of buildings. Today he turns his brush to a gentler side of everyday life, faith, and family. His work, done in the folk art tradition, has a refreshing simplicity with the flavor of a local narrative.
